Pikseo Headquarters in Toruń – A Cosmic Narrative in Acoustic Harmony

The new headquarters of the Pikseo agency in Toruń is a space that tells a story - subtly, without literal references, through light, material, and spatial structure. Designed by Aleksandra Hyz and Aleksandra Mętlewicz, the concept draws from the idea of space as a metaphor for invisible systems, data flows, and algorithms that define Pikseo’s daily work.
As Acustio, we were proud to co-create this project by delivering comprehensive acoustic solutions throughout the entire office. Our goal was not only to ensure acoustic comfort, but also to integrate our systems seamlessly into the architectural language of the interior.

Open Space. Subtle Yet Highly Effective
Acoustics One of the key elements of the project is the implementation of our new acoustic islands with the highest sound absorption Class A, installed in the open-space areas. Combined with acoustic desk partitions, they form a visually light yet highly efficient system that:
✔significantly reduces reverberation and background noise,
✔enhances concentration and workplace comfort,
✔complements the architectural vision without overwhelming it.
This project demonstrates how acoustic design can be both discreet and powerful - shaping the quality of work environment without dominating the space.

Acoustic Islands Integrated with Lighting
In the canteen and conference rooms, acoustic islands were integrated with lighting solutions, becoming both functional and atmospheric elements. These installations not only improve acoustic conditions but also define the mood of the interiors — from bright daytime meeting settings to more intimate, saturated evening scenarios.
We are particularly proud of the canteen arrangement, where our panels were uniquely composed with Jasper ceiling lighting. On the walls, Collie panels were beautifully integrated, while Basalt systems were used in a non-standard way as spatial dividers between zones. This approach shows how acoustic solutions can actively shape spatial composition rather than serve as purely technical additions.

Meeting Rooms – Acoustic Detail Matters
In smaller meeting rooms, felt wall applications provide speech clarity and acoustic privacy. Though subtle in appearance, these solutions play a crucial role in everyday usability and comfort.

This realization was made possible through close collaboration with the architects and the executive teams. We are incredibly proud that Acustio systems became an integral part of the interior’s architectural identity - not just a technical layer, but a spatial component contributing to the overall narrative. The Pikseo headquarters is an example of how thoughtful acoustic design can support concept, atmosphere, and user experience simultaneously. This is the story told by the architects. We are proud to have given it the right sound.
