No. Dune absorbs sound and shortens reverberation time, which makes speech from neighbouring desks less intelligible and less distracting. It is not a soundproof partition and does not replace a wall. Acoustic panels reduce noise; they do not block it.
Dune is made from acoustic felt, available in four categories: 100% polypropylene (580 g/m2, 3.8 mm), 100% wool (3 mm), 100% polyester (500 g/m2, 3 mm) and 100% wool (840 g/m2, 3 mm). Flammability is certified to EN 13501-1 and, depending on category, to ASTM E-84-18 Class A or UNE 23272 M1.
Dune is used in open-plan offices, meeting rooms, receptions and focus areas, wherever speech and reverberation make it hard to concentrate.
Yes. In Poland, providing adequate acoustics in office spaces has been obligatory since 2018. An acoustic ceiling alone rarely meets the requirements, which is why additional solutions such as free-standing dividers or ceiling islands are used.
Yes. Assembly instructions for Dune are available free of charge and without a form at https://acustio.com/downloads/manuals/, in Polish and English.
